OUTLAW OFF ROAD RACING

2019 RULES

 RACE PERSONNEL AND SPECTATORS

 

  • Race personnel which consist of first aid, recovery, timers, announcers and media will be required to wear bright "safety" colored shirts to be easily distinguishable from the surroundings. 

    • Race personnel reserve the right to refuse any driver, co-pilot, or vehicle from entering the race.

  • Spectators will be staged away from the race course a minimum of 25' by barriers. Any spectator that breaks the 25' barrier, will be asked to leave the race area. 

    • Spectators that are unruly, vulgar, or otherwise disrupting their surroundings will be asked to leave.

DRIVERS AND CO-PILOTS (ALL CLASSES)

 

  • If at any time Race Personnel feels that the driver or co-pilot are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, they will not be          allowed to race.

  • All occupants of the race vehicle are required to abide by the same rules.

  • Fire suits are required and must have an SFI-5 rating or better.

  • Lace up shoes such as leather tennis shoes or hiking boots are required.

  • DOT approved full face helmet that is in date, must be worn.

  • Eye protection must be worn.

  • Neck protection must be a HANS or HYBRID type device. Neck rolls are NOT allowed.

  • It is recommended to wear fire resistant gloves, but it is not mandatory.

  • Drivers must complete a race in the same vehicle in which they start a race with.

  • If a Driver feels another Driver has interfered with their run, the Driver has the option to shut down their rig immediately and wait for race personnel to determine if they can re-run.  If the Driver continues the course, then that time is counted.

UNLIMITED CLASS VEHICLES

 

  • Minimum allowable tire size is 37-inch diameter. No bolted tires or chains are allowed.

  • Master kill switch must be clearly visible from outside vehicle and accessible from all occupants of vehicle.

  • Two 2.5 lb. fire extinguishers are required. One must be accessible by all occupants of vehicle. The other must be accessible from outside the vehicle.

  • A winch rated for the vehicle is highly recommended.  However, it is not required.

  • Roll cage must be tied into the main frame of the vehicle. Roll cage must be structurally sound and be capable of protecting all occupants of the vehicle during any crash.

  • 5-point harnesses are required and must be tied into the main frame of the vehicle. Harnesses must be in good working condition.

  • Side window safety nets are required for each person in the vehicle.  Window nets must extend 6" past the elbow while the occupant is strapped into their seat.  Zip Ties, Rope or Tape are NOT allowed to attach window safety nets.

  • The roof of the vehicle must be designed so that limbs cannot protrude through during a rollover event.

  • The fuel cell must have a roll over check valve installed.  Fuel vent line must extend from fuel cell to one side of vehicle across the width of the vehicle, and down to the belly of vehicle or below the fuel cell, whichever is lower.

  • All occupants in vehicle must be protected with an attached skid plate to prevent objects from entering cockpit.

  • A visual inspection will take place at the starting line, to make sure that the vehicle is safe as well as to assure that all occupants of vehicle are properly secured.

 

 ​UTV CLASS VEHICLES

 

  • Drivetrain must be “UTV” or “Powersports” branded.

  • Two 2.5 lb. fire extinguishers are required. One must be accessible by all occupants of vehicle. The other must be accessible from outside the vehicle

  • A winch rated for the vehicle is highly recommended.  However, it is not required.

  • Roll cage must be tied into the main frame of the vehicle. Roll cage must be structurally sound and be capable of protecting all occupants of the vehicle during any crash.  Stock roll cages are NOT advised.

ALTERNATE DRIVER

 

  • A driver can elect another individual and vehicle to race a single (1) race in place of them.

  • The elected individual cannot be racing for themselves during the same race.

 

DRIVER ENTRY FEE

 

  • Unlimited Class is $250.00 per race.  A discounted price of $200 up to the Sunday before race day.

    • Includes Driver plus one entry into park.

    • Driver can pay $900.00 for season pass to race.  Must be paid before first race.

  • UTV Class is $200.00 per race.  A discounted price of $150.00 up to the Sunday before race day.

    • Includes Driver plus one entry into park.

    • Driver can pay $700 for season pass to race.  Must be paid before first race.

  • Discounted entry fee ends the Sunday before race day.

  • There are no refunds or rain checks for entry fees.

 

PAYOUTS

 

  • Unlimited Class Guaranteed Payouts.  End of season points payouts for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

    • 1st:  $3,000  |  2nd:  $2,000  |  3rd:  $1,000

    • 4th:  $400  |  5th:  $300  |  6th:  $200  |  7th:  $100  |  8th:  $100  |  9th:  $100  |  10th:  $100

 

  • UTV Class Guaranteed Payouts.  End of season points winner will receive trophies.

    • 1st - $1,000  |  2nd - $500  |  3rd:  $250

 

POINTS SYSTEM

 

  • All classes will be awarded points for racing.

  • DNF (Did Not Finish) or DNS (Did Not Start) will be awarded points.

  • Any driver that did not break the start line beam will receive zero (0) points for that race.  This includes paid drivers.

  • There are no “dropped” races or points.
